· 2001, in expanding her education, Venus Perez also attended Willsey Institute
for Nursing, Phlebotomy, and EKG certification.
· 2003 Relocated to Florida
· Certified Client Centered Counselor, Tester including training in
Domestic Violence, HIV Transmission, Prevention, Legal Issues,
and facilitator for HIV support groups in Seminole County, Florida
· With the help of Carlos Ayala Director and Founder of
HIV-AIDS Help Desk, Venus Perez is also an online HIV-Help-Desk advocate
· Volunteer with other nonprofit organizations and
the Coalition for the Homeless in Central Florida
· Presently the Executive Director to the nonprofit organization
EASY ACCESS RESOURCE, assisting individuals with resources
who are medically frail in providing resource needs in crisis situations
· Partner with the Department of Children and Families/Access
Florida utilization program (Food Stamps, Medicaid, Cash Assistance applications)
· February 8, 2007: awarded by The Heart of Florida United Way,
the UNSUNG HERO AWARD in recognition of her valuable
contributions in advocating for the needs of people living
with HIV/AIDS, impacting communities within which they live,
and exhibiting a commitment to preventing the spread
of HIV infection through outreach and education
· She was, an appointed member to the Orlando Eligible Metropolitan
areas EMA HIV Health Services Planning Council, and CFAP Consortia
· Currently advocates the Seminole County Community and involved
with the Longwood Police Department in assistance with Senior Elder Services
· A Partner with Joyce Meyer Ministries and sponsor to the Children’s
Miracle Network, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews,
a contributor to Life Outreach Ministries and The American Red Cross
Co-Chair member on Medical & Health Services Committee
of the Hispanic Leaders Chamber of Commerce· Christian faith.
Hobbies and interest: Walking with God, Book Writing, Singing/Songwriting, Listening to
Classic Rock, Oldies and Jazz Music, Stained Glass, Playing Guitar and Cooking.
